Computer Labs

Student access to Computers

   

Enrolled students have access to computers in the Learning Resources Center (LRC) and in the Academic Achievement Center. Students may be required to display their library cards upon request of a staff member as proof of enrollment. Computers are to be used to support research and education for the College’s curriculum and may be used for papers and other homework assignments.

 

 

 

Internet Access

At SC4, use of the Internet is considered a privilege, not a right, and must be in support of education and research consistent with the mission of St. Clair County Community College. As such, all students desiring access to the Internet must abide by the College's acceptable use policy and be properly authorized to use the Internet. Inappropriate use may result in cancellation of use of the computers and the Internet. Please read the Acceptable Use Policy for the Internet and Email Services at Acceptable Use Policy.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17 US Code) governs the duplication of copyrighted software. Persons using College computers and software are liable for any infringement.

Audiovisual Services

The LRC has approximately 3,700 videos and DVDs that have been acquired to supplement the curriculum at the college and improve learning. These materials are available for viewing within the LRC on video and DVD players. In addition, the group study rooms have been set up with AV equipment for viewing of these materials by study groups.
