The College is committed to providing equal educational opportunities to students regardless of their disabilities. Students with disabilities enrolled at the College and in need of assistance should contact the Academic Achievement Center at aac@sc4.edu to apply for necessary support services. A counselor is available in the AAC to qualifying students who are experiencing academic difficulties, are disabled, or have limited English-speaking skills. Crisis information and referral services to community agencies are also available. Appropriate documentation of disability must be submitted and requests for accommodations must be made each semester. In order for the College to provide accommodations, some requests need to be arranged prior to the beginning of the semester. Testing, note taker, reader and interpreter services along with specialized computer equipment are provided. Other support services are also available, depending upon the individual’s needs. The Academic Achievement Center works closely with Michigan Rehabilitation Services http://www.michigan.gov to provide referrals and services. Resources: Disability Related Links |
