Enroll in two-day electric car class

SC4 is offering a new alternative energy class in March.

Electric Car Basics (AET-195) will cover the components and features found in most electric cars.

The 1-credit class only meets twice – from 9 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. Saturday, March 17, and Saturday, March 24. No textbooks are required.

Learn how to assemble the components of an electric car. A class project will include converting a gasoline car to electric.

You also will learn the benefits, shortfalls and limitations of electric car technology.

The class will be taught by Will R. Smith. Smith runs a company that converts gasoline cars to electric.

To register for this new class, visit www.sc4.edu/wave. For more information, contact the Engineering Technology Department at (810) 989-5754.
