Michigan Community College Scholarship
Awarded to University of Michigan transfer students selected on the basis of their academic performance and other qualifications. All entering transfer students are automatically considered and no application is required.

Charles A. Koppel Scholarship
Awarded to an incoming freshman from St. Clair, Sanilac or Huron County who demonstrates financial need. Six $500 awards ($250 Fall/$250 Winter) will be made for the 2010-11 academic year.
Award: $500 Deadline: July 12, 2010 application
VFW Post 5855 Scholarship
Awarded to any Michigan Veteran at any Michigan School (4yr, 2yr or trade).
Eligibility criteria include:
- Must be attending a university, college or trade school
- Provide a copy of student ID
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (an unofficial transcript will be accepted)
- Submit copy of DD214
- Must be a member of a Veteran’s organization
- Provide a copy of membership card
- Must be a resident of the state of Michigan
The scholarships will be awarded twice a year.
Award: $500 each
Deadlines: Fall - July 15, Spring - Oct 15
application Thomas A. Hamilton Scholarship Awarded to a freshman/sophomore student who demonstrates financial need and lives within the SC4 district. Preference will be given to those who do not qualify for federal or state funding. The recipient must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. Preference will be given to those students who include a personal statement explaining their need for financial assistance.
Fall 2010 semester only.
Award: $300
Deadline: July 21, 2010
application St. Clair County AFL-CIO Scholarship Applicants must be a union member or a son/daughter or legally adopted child of an active, retired or deceased member. Applicant will be required to submit documentation with the scholarship application. The recipient, upon completion of the term that the scholarship was awarded, will give a brief report to the sponsor at its monthly meeting.
