Fresh Start It is the philosophy of St. Clair County Community College that students at some time in their college career may need a Fresh Start. This procedure pertains to students who were enrolled in one program or degree and are now enrolled in a different program or degree. Fresh Start will provide students with the opportunity to have their cumulative grade point average reflect their present academic success in their current programs. Fresh Start Procedure This procedure pertains to those students who have previously attended the institution in a particular program and have now re-enrolled at the College in a different program. The procedure provides students, who previously did not experience academic success (received a grade of C- or below), the opportunity to have their accumulative grade point average reflect their present academic success. This option is an irreversible academic Fresh Start procedure. The class(es) considered eligible for the Fresh Start procedure cannot be applicable to the student’s current program of study. Students who earned a degree from St. Clair County Community College are not eligible for this procedure. Before using the procedure, a curriculum change needs to have occurred.
