Support Programs

In addition to scholarships, the following is a list of options available to assist you in paying for your college education.

  • Veteran’s Benefits Assistance is available for veterans and their dependents. For program information contact the US. Department of Veterans Affairs Web site at www.gibill.va.gov, view the college Web site at www.sc4.edu/veterans, or visit the Veterans Certifying Official at ATC 123.
  • Michigan Rehabilitation Service Students with disabilities may qualify for assistance. For more information contact (810) 982-8571.
  • Michigan Works! Provides eligible students with tuition-free training. For more information contact MI Works at (810) 987-9170 or (989) 635-3561.
  • Hope Tax Credit Allows a reduction in federal income tax for qualified students during their first two years of college. The credit totals $1,500 per eligible student. Check www.nasfaa.org
  • Lifetime Learning Credit Tax credit available to adults returning to school and students not qualifying for the Hope Scholarship. Check www.nasfaa.org
