Most general education courses, including math, biology, chemistry, social sciences such as psychology or political science, humanities such as history, and English, are provided. Tutoring services are provided free of charge to currently enrolled SC4 students. Drop-in tutors will work individually with students and may also refer students to specialized software that will also help in developing skills. A list of software appears on the Computer Based Educational Resources page. Students who have any of the following are strongly encouraged to come to the AAC for assistance: - Currently receiving a grade of “C-“ or less in a class or below a “C” in MTH 050 – Basic Mathematics, MTH 101 – Pre-Algebra, RD 050 – Introduction to College Reading I, ENG 050 –Basic Writing Skills, ENG 075 – Basic Writing Skills II, or BUS 058 – Business Arithmetic.

Drop-In Tutoring Schedule Drop-in tutoring is available at no charge to all enrolled students in room B100 in the College Center, regardless of grade, and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The drop-in schedule indicates tutor availability. Printed schedules are also located in the AAC. Tutoring schedules are subject to change. If a course is not listed on the drop-in tutoring schedule, students may ask if computer tutorials are available. Employment Opportunities Employment opportunities may be available at the peer and professional levels. Tutors must have a minimum accumulated 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA). Applications for employment are available in the Academic Achievement Center. |
