Tuition and Fees

Residents of St. Clair County Community College District
$86.50 per contact hour.
(plus $7.50 technology fee per contact hour)

Residents of the State of Michigan outside the College District
$165.00 per contact hour.
(plus $7.50 technology fee per contact hour)

Residents outside the State of Michigan and International Students enrolled through F-1 Visas
$240.00 per contact hour.
(plus $7.50 technology fee per contact hour)

Additional fees:

  • Registration Fee (non-refundable) $40 per semester.
  • Laboratory, course and program fees as required by course.
  • Online fee $35 per course.
  • Facility fees as required for classes outside of St. Clair County.
  • Bad Axe LPN program fee.
  • Other fees may apply.

Residency requirement:
To qualify for in-state tuition rates, you must be a Michigan resident for at least six (6) months prior to the start of classes.

To qualify for in-district tuition rates, you must establish residency in the college district at least thirty (30) days prior to the start of the semester and submit the Residency Change Form in the Enrollment Services Office prior to the start of the semester.

Residents of the college district 60 years and older qualify for a tuition reduction of 50% on most credit courses (a few special classes are exempt from discounts). This reduction does not apply to any course fees.


Fall 2009 - Tuition payment schedule
    Payment in full required at time of registration.
 
Winter 2010 - Tuition payment schedule
  Nov. 2, 2009 - Nov. 27, 2009
    No payment required until final payment due date of Dec. 11, 2009.
Partial payments are accepted through Dec. 10, 2009.
  Nov. 28, 2009 - Jan. 19, 2010
    Payment in full required at time of registration.
 
Spring 2010 - Tuition payment schedule
  Feb. 22, 2010 - April 9, 2010
    No payment required until final payment due date of April 23, 2010.
Partial payments are accepted through April 22, 2010.
  April 10, 2010 - May 21, 2010
    Payment in full required at time of registration.
 
Summer 2010 - Tuition payment schedule
  Feb. 22, 2010 - May 28, 2010
    No payment required until final payment due date of June 11, 2010.
Partial payments are accepted through June 10, 2010.
  May 29, 2010 - July 2, 2010
    Payment in full required at time of registration.

Payment options

  • The college accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, check or cash during business hours. Online payments can be made at http://www.sc4.edu/wave To pay by phone, call (810) 989-5513.
  • A lock box is located outside the Business Office, Main Building, Room 220 for after-hours non-cash payments.
  • Budget plans for fall, winter and spring semesters are available online with NELNET. You may access NELNET through www.sc4.edu/wave or call (810) 989-5513 for details.

The college reserves the right to remove students from courses for not complying with the tuition payment schedule.

A registration restriction will be imposed for students that have been dropped for non-payment twice in the same semester.
