On-Campus Recruiting

On-campus recruiting is a complimentary service, reserved for verified employers recruiting SC4 students for job openings/career and internship opportunities. On-campus recruiting visits are available as timing/space allows. We can work with you to help you select the best day, time and locations to maximize your visit. Submit a request for on-campus recruiting. You will receive confirmation from our office once your request is approved.

LEAN LEADER (8 hour course)

This session is designed to provide an overview of Lean Enterprise in the workplace. The session defines the tools, demonstrates their applications, and discusses real-life examples of how these techniques make the organization function better for both internal suppliers and customers. The overall objective is to improve the delivery of services in a team environment.

Topics to be discussed:

  • Explain the history and term “lean” as it relates to their jobs and group functions
  • Employing best practices in their respective functions by delivering services at the highest quality level in the shortest amount of time, while eliminating waste in time, resources, and functions
  • Creating standardized work methods and train others to duplicate them
  • Employ the tools of lean: Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, 5S (a standardization of procedures to improve safety, quality, productivity, and employee attitudes.), Error Proofing, Visual Management, 7 Wastes, etc.
  • Improve communication between internal suppliers and customers/clients
  • Demonstrate the ability to recognize the five (5) phases of a department transformation
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement and flexibility in the workplace
